I have spent most of my working life in the UK Party industry. For the most part we were making and selling Fantasia Latex balloons. About 6 years ago I joined forces with a competitor ITI(UK)ltd , who are the UK Distrbutors of the worlds largest Latex Balloon manufacturer, Latex Occidental.

In 2002 I co-founded the European Balloon Council(now the EBPC)and then chaired it for the next 10 years. The function of the Council was to represent the interests of the Balloon industry in the EU.

During the mid nineties I was invited to join the board of HITF Ltd, now more commonly known as Harrogate Christmas and Gift Show.

In 2011 my wife and I were asked if we would represent Boland Party(a Dutch company)as their sole UK agents.

The reason for starting this blog is that I have been contributing articles to the Party Party trade magazine. Some of which will appear in these blogs,but I feel I have more to say, if is only to engender some debate within the industry. It is going through change and yet little is being discussed.

Some posts maybe product plugs , but the majority will about getting the industry to have a good look at itself. I don’t have the answers , indeed the longer I am in the party market the less I know, but I feel that there is a lot to consider and discuss.
